Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 3, 2008 A 2006 vintage keg on draught at the Chetek, Pokegama Lake brewpub location just before this brewpub closed. Pours a thick light caramel and orange brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates nearly clean with a thin off-white ring. Aroma of fruity apples, a touch of pear, caramel malt, some raisin and a touch of red licorice. Taste is smooth and silky with flavors of sweetened caramel malt, some raisin and even some alcohol character. Finish is semi-sweet with a mild bitterness with a flowery and apple after taste. It seems as though the two year aging has done this product very well. jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA Nov 26, 2006 On tap at brewery. Man was this a bad beer, or what?. Looked like a pils with a drop of caramel coloring. Lightest orange yellow, with a fizzy head. Nose was perfumey. Aroma of weak Jolly Rancher apple and bubble gum. Fizzy palate. May be some alcohol in there, but if that’s what you are looking for, order a Jagermeister. Definitely one to pour on the floor.
