Aug 19, 2005 Muddy dark brown. Good nose, caramel and a few roasts, somewhat reminiscent of their red ale. Flavor is vaguely smoky, lightly bitter, and some molasses. What is it with these guys and molasses?

Jul 12, 2005 Very dark brown to black color with a smaller tan head. Caramel and dark chocolate aromas. Mild roasted malt and dark caramel flavors.

Jun 7, 2005 Nice nutty carmel aroma,, fine head, surprisingly dry taste, with a roasted coffee aftertaste light mouthfeel, tasted even nuttier as it warmed. A tad thin but a good effort

Apr 18, 2005 Dark brown with no head. Slightly nutty aroma. Burnt coffee taste. Well this did have the most flavor of the bunch and it does in fact show promise, but suffers from being watery.
