Light amber color with a smaller off white head. Mild wheat sweetness followed by a mild dry honey aroma. Simple and straightforward. Cereal and mild wheat flavors as well.

Honey/Brown Coloring. Little Aroma. Sweet Malt with Dry/Crisp Ending. Certainly Not a Offending Beer, But Only Reaches a Category Above Swill. Good Gateway Brew in That Respect.

On-tap at Gitchee Gumee Brewfest - Listed as an Amber Honey Ale? Which the color seems to be, a light golden amber center with honey yellow soft edges. Thinner off-white head stayed present for a good while. Not much in the lacing dept. though. Very minimal. Aroma is lightly toasted, kinda rice crisped cereal-like with a light leafy hop backing. Short and brief taste of crisp and toasted malt, lightly breaded, cereal feathered with caramel and honey and a delicate leafy hop finish. Lighter medium body, super quick and easy, not quite watery, thin overall but has a nice crispness to it; but lacks. An OK drinker to. A bit boring.

Gitchee Gumee Brewfest 2005. This is like a watered down, burny version of their Bumblin Bubba, yet it has even less complexity and pleasentness. Not a real drinker here folks.

I like the name but the beer doesn’t live up. It’s got a light sweetness of honey a very little bitter aftertaste.

Sample at the brewpub. Darkish clear honey with a touch of cloudiness; nose is honey-sweet, a bit weak initially but nicely warm later with a touch of flowers; body similarly sweet and uncomplicated, touch of vanilla and a bit of pale malt..ending just a bit too thin but overall this is easily the most drinkable beer from the brewer.

Festival tap: way too light! Soapy hops nose, some hints of malt. watery finish.

Amber colour with a malty and wheaty aroma. The taste was sweet malts with a hoppy and caramel taste. There was some sort of spice as well but I’m not sure what it is. Slight bitter end.
