Poured clear, medium reddish-brown with a very thin layer of beige head. Aroma was of artificially-sweetened nutty and cocoa sugars.. very, very sweet. Flavor was very similar.. sweet chocolate, hazelnuts, and drawn caramel.. the diabetes-inducing sweet factor was ever-so-present, and this was just a chore to drink. Light-bodied and watery though most of the drink, only supported by beefed-up sweetness.. poor balance. This was just a weak attempt. Skyview (4077), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA

Pours a clean brown brew with an average fast dissolving off white head. Aroma of roasted hazelnuts, caramel and sweet multi-grain malt. Taste is medium body, a lot of carbonation and a bit watery. Finish is clean and watery with some hint of bitterness. BDR (2168), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 26, 2006 This ale is chestnut in body with a slender white head. The aroma is a chocolate covered caramel. It tastes of caramel and chocolate with a mild nutty bitterness. Some added carbonation might perk this up a bit.

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Sep 3, 2006 Kinda a cola brown color with little head. Slightly nutty and low roasted malt flavor. Caramelly taste with a little nuttiness. Easy to drink from the low carbonation in the bottle. Unoffensive taste but the lack of carbonation makes it feel like your drinking caramel juice. Flavor is a less sweet version of the aroma. Definitely one of their better beers. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA
