Aroma is sweet, malty, nuts and caramel. Spot on for a brown.
Mild entry on the palate, soft and sweetish, but rather insubstantial, all in all. Medium/ light body, thin mouthfeel, soft, chocolatey finish.
Drinks easy, if lighter in character, flavor than I like...a big relief that it didn’t totally blow, after those last four.

Hazy elm-bark brown with a decent bit of head..pleasant pecan-hazelnut nose...fairly dry nutty-caramel initial flavor quickly turns brackish, alkaline, metallic...it must be the water. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 27, 2004 Brown colour with minimal head. Smells of nuts and butterscoth. Taste is creamy and nutty with a decent hop accent. A good example of a brown ale although I prefer mine a little more robust.
