Brown colour with minimal head. Smells of nuts and butterscoth. Taste is creamy and nutty with a decent hop accent. A good example of a brown ale although I prefer mine a little more robust.

Dark copper color with a small tan head. Dark caramel and mild floral hops aromas. Flavors of pale malt, with hints of caramel and mild rose hip. Smooth and drinkable english style ale.

Bottle poured to glass. A great brown ale with aroma of roasted malts and molasses. Average head, off white in color atop a brown brew. Medium mouthfeel but a very full tasting brew.

Tap at the brewpub. Brown pour of course. Toasty and a bit nutty. Very smooth with a slight bitterness in the finish, not bad.

Draft, at Northwoods. Yep, a solid “brown ale” color. Roasty and caramelly in taste, with a good complement of hops. Good, but not quite great.

Better than the stout and porter. Decent but unspectacular brown.
