Tap at the brewpub. Light yellow with a pink tint and very little head. Sweet berry aroma, flavor was the same, not my cup of tea.

I think the brewery changed the name of this beer, but it’s still a raspberry wheat ale. My pint arrived with a small head and was highlighted by a strange, pinkish hue.The first notes are sour followed by a watery raspberry flavor. The mouthfeel is thin, and the beer finishes with a decent wheat bitterness. This is what you get when you cross raspberry-flavored Crystal Light with a subpar wheat beer.

Appearance: Pours a clear, reddish-pink body with a wispy white head. Smell: Very peculiar aroma of green asparagus and raspberry essence. Oh dear. Taste: A true witch’s brew of vegetables, raspberry punch, and a thin maltiness. Finishes tart and watery. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Mild carbonation. Drinkability: Red Raspberry Ale certainly left my stomach ripplin’.

Pours a transparent pale grapefruity pink with a thin wispy white head. Aroma has some decent sweet raspberry notes with some cardboardy malt. Body is fairly thin and semi-sweet with some tart fruity raspberry flavor toward an effervescent, thin finish. Very bland.

Sampled at the Northwoods Brewpub in Chetek, Wisconsin. Pours a clear light amber with some pink highlights. Has a thin white head the quickly and totally dissolves to a clean liquid with no lacing or ring. Aroma of lightly sweetened raspberry kool-aid power mix, with a touch of white bread and some flowery hops. Taste is highly carbonated, light bodied with a good balance of bread malt and fruity (raspberry) flavors. Palate is thin and almost watery. Finish has a slight berry tart and then a clean cut aftertaste. If watery light beers is your cup to brew with a touch of berry flavor added, this beer will work.
