If Not for the Aroma, One Would Scant Believe That They Were in the Flavor as Well. Very Watery Overall. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

Touch of banana in the nose, but also buttery diacetyl...very bland, sour and chemical bathroom-cleaner sort of texture, with massive metallic bitterness at the end. Utterly undrinkable. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 2, 2003 I picked this up at one of the best supermarkets in Minocqua on my annual family trip to the northwoods. I drank one there, but didn't have very good conditions. I drank another at home with a proper glass at proper conditions, and it improved mightily. It has yeast, a cloudy amber color, and not a very long lasting head, but good lacing. The malt was slightly overshadowed by the bitey, grassy hops, and it tasted like not enough wheat protein was filtered out. It had a slightly sweet nutty taste I thought was out of place. I like wheat beers of all types, and will re-think my way through the six-pack, but it seems something was very different about this one. Don't know if I'd recommend it. kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA
