Commercial Description:
In the US, called BrouCzech Dark.

Pyrope or Bohemian garnet stones were randomly collected in our territory by ancient Celts. It is a stone of all-binding fire, passion as well as purity of heart. However, it is generally known as a stone of love. Thanks to its typical colour, its name has been used metaphorically in connection with the colour of dark and semi-dark beers. Granat from Nova Paka is a dark sweeter lager with quality rich foam that is suitable for mixing pale types; alcohol 5%.

This is one of those rare instances when the beer grows a substantial and lasting head after the pour – interesting – dark ruby with, as I said, a lasting, off-white head – the aroma is doughy, with notes of raisin, cherry, nuttiness – smooth, medium-bodied – the flavor is rather sweet, but it is a clean sweetness, and it is balanced by mild noble hops an a slightly herbal bitterness – a lot of nutty character, burnt sugar, dark bread, leafy character – finish of caramelized sugar – fairly clean, just a little on the sweet side.
