Commercial Description:
In the US, called BrouCzech Dark.

Pyrope or Bohemian garnet stones were randomly collected in our territory by ancient Celts. It is a stone of all-binding fire, passion as well as purity of heart. However, it is generally known as a stone of love. Thanks to its typical colour, its name has been used metaphorically in connection with the colour of dark and semi-dark beers. Granat from Nova Paka is a dark sweeter lager with quality rich foam that is suitable for mixing pale types; alcohol 5%.

Bottled(500ml). -as Novopacke Pivo Granat.
Reddish brown coloured, small tan head, light caramel chocolate nose. Malty, light hoppy, caramel and some herbs in the taste with a bit too strong sugary notes. Light caramel finish, but overall a way too sweet beer.

Bottle. An almost clear, amber brown beer with a decent beige head. Nice aroma, sweetish, malty and fruity, with both dried and some fresh fruits. Caramel and some roasted malt too. Sweet, roasted flavor with dried fruits, some smooth coffee-like flavors and a little alcohol touch. A pleasant bittness towards the finish. Still, the aroma is slightly better. Medium to full body with a pleasant finish. A nice dunkel. (081002)

Tap. Pours a hazy brown with a tan head. Bread notes and malt in the nose. Taste is malt/caramel with a slight hop bitterness at the end. Remains pretty smooth and drinkable - not bad.

Bottle from Tbone, thanks! Dark brown color. Caramel and chocolate cake in the aroma. Caramelly malty sweetish flavor with some chichory and grassy bitterness, especially in the aftertaste. Nice one!
