Dark brown wmedium head, some sugary notes, nutty aroma, & some bitterness to finish. Good value! JoeMcPhee (5030), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 24, 2007 500 ml bottle. Dark brown with light reddish highlights. Fast fading tan head. Aromas of toffee, toasted malts and toasted nuts. Clean with a slightly herbal character with notes of kettle caramelization or decoction. A bit of peppery ethanol that seems a bit out of place, but it isn’t too offensive. Light nutty flavour, some brown sugar/caramel and a soft herbal hop finish. It’s not the greatest dunkel, but it’s not a bad one either. It’s alittle bit minty toward the finish as well. Finishes quite dry and the body is a bit leaner than I prefer, but despite that it’s reasonably pleasant. Radek Kliber (3986), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

Pours dark brown, clear with creamy fine head.
Aroma: soft set of light creamy chocolate with roasted top layer, sweet hint of cola.
Medium bodied. Light, smooth and soft. Gently made lager with hints of roasted malt. Quiet sweet malt base still balanced enough to enjoy when feel like having sweet malty dark lager.

Good mocha head on dark body, and lots of lace. Soft mouthfeel with light drinking malt, touch of chocolate. Smooth drinking. Floral and spice aroma. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 30, 2006 One dollar half-liter bottle from the supermarket. Clear root beer color with a quickly diminishing foamy beige head. Aroma of sweet grains, molasses, brown sugar, and a trace of banana and maple. Flavor of sweet cereal and grainy malts with a dark corn syrup and a non-descript chemical finish. Too sweet and syrupy overall. LinusStick (1851), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 25, 2006 This is the best offering from this brewer yet. The aroma is sweet and malty, but not too strong. The pour was black with a tan head that leaves the party early. The taste was a mix of smokey chocolate and malt. Main problem of this beer was a lack of anything extreme. Nothing jumped out. This was a solid beer, however, and I enjoyed it. cheapdark (2047), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA

Yes, it did say BrouCzech dark on it. 12 oz bottle. No apparent aroma that sticks out. Pours nice and dark in my steeler stein. Hops initial and on the finish but not too offensive. Is this possibly a Czech macro company? Your typical dunkle, but with a little hops in there. Im surprized that there are not a lot of ratings on this. PilsnerPeter (2667), Flushing, New York, USA
