Bottled (as Nyckel Original) at Stockholm Beer Festival 2009. Deep golden color. Malty honeyish aroma. Malty honeyish flavor with some tart fruitiness and low bitterness. Simple and dull.

Bottle, 50cl - Pale yellow beer with a large white head. Aroma is malty with notes of straw and grassy hops. Flavor is malty with notes of grass, citrus and alcohol. Not very good with a strange taste of hops.

Bottled@SBWF2009, as Nyckel Original 5.2%. Golden colour, mediumseized white head. Aroma is hops, grass, fruits and mild yeastyness. Flavour is quite much the same. Not very exciting, but is atleast somewhat refreshing.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 19 Sep 2009) Yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty, bready nose with some grass and tropical fruit. Malty taste with notes of bread, grass and a touch of citrus. A decent grassy bitterness in the finish. On the thin side, with some malt sweetness. An average, non-exciting pale lager.

Bottled as "Nyckel Original" @SBWF 2009.
Pale yellow color, small white head. Sweet corn, slight diacetyl, some cardboard. Flavor is very similar: sweet corn like flavor, some diacetyl, quite malty but that’s about it. Interesting that Nyckel is a microbrewery brewing bulk lagers ...

From a bottle (50 cl) at SMÖF-08. Sourish and stale malt aroma with some faint grassy hops. Fizzy mouthfeel. A bit too sweet, low bitterness.

Clear, pale straw yellow color, small white head. Sweet sugary scent. Sligt acidic. Sugary yet dry taste. Thin mouthfeel, low bitterness.
