Oct 4, 2003 The aroma is light: sweet, malty with roasted notes. The aroma is too light. The color is pitch black with a beutiful chocolate brown head. The flavor is sweet and malty with good roasty notes. A nice porter - especially considering the alcohol content.

Apr 30, 2002 Sampled cask conditioned. Very dark brown. Licorice aroma. Light body. Tastes of molasses, coffee and butter. Medium sweet. Finishes salty. Very much an English style cask porter. Good, but not one of the top beers from this brewery.
