The year 2003 is the best. we shared 4 bootles last time at Mackinleys Inn.
2004 is the worst and it is still better then any other beer.
2005 I got a hold of 20 bottles and still have one for saving at home. Still buying them when I can at the bar too. But they have a high price and well worth the price, remember to drink it at the right temperature

Smells of coffe beans. Tastes of roasted malts and coffe. I cant remember if I´ve had Smörpundet without barrel ageing, but this is realy smooth and I think it have had great benefit from the barreling. Magicdave6 (4153), London, Greater London, England Sep 8, 2008 Bottle at chris o’s pre banter knees up tasting. Alround rating: Woody, roasty, alcohol is showing itself at times. The roasty character isnt too overpowering and its drinkable enough but not really my deal. MesandSim (4713), Highgate, Greater London, England Aug 10, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s Pre GBBF Tasting
2005 version for what it is worth. Black body with a really good tan head. Lovely chocolate malt, slight soy, decent coffee and fairly aggressive bitter hoppage. A little bit raw, rather a lot of alcohol showing and slight oxidisation. Good stuff but the rawness lets it down a bit. oh6gdx (6583), Vaasa, Finland Aug 7, 2008 Bottled (tusen tack Anders!!!). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is licorice, oak, some vanilla and bunch of nuts. Also chocolate and some mild roasted notes. Flavour is much the same along with some caramel and mild buttery notes. harrisoni (5605), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 4, 2008 Bottle at Chris o Pre GBBF Shindig 08. Thanks Anders. A pretty good choccy porter. I quite liked it. A little on the plain side maybe after tasting the Hel and Veldoemenis, but it was a solid porter that ticked all the boxes and left me with a smile on my face. Even though I needed Fonefan to write the name of it down in my notebook as I had no idea what it was.
