| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 20, 2009 In short: An true-to-the-style herbaceous Bohemian pilsner. Dry and bitter with a full straw/hay body. Very nice.
How: Bottle 50cl. Consumed a few days after receiving it through private importation but it was already close to expiration date
The look: Slightly cloudy blonde body topped by a medium white head
In long: Authentic bohemian pilsner nose with hay, old barn and grassy hops. This beer is like taking a walk in a countryside field. The body is filled with hay and staw, the dry grassy hops reminds me of walking with a dry cattail in my mouth. Very herbal, very dry, very grassy. An overall sensation of herbaceous plants. A light acidic tartness in the finish adds its thist-quenching quality. 50cl is not enough. Definitely something I’d like to drink regularly in extra-large quantities. Beer may not be the answer but given enough of it I can at least forget the question.
