(Rating #2086)

Draught @ STBOWF. Stockholm Beer Festival 2008, Sweden.
Clear medium to dark yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, grain, toasted, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [270908]

My Bottom Line:
Straw-like cereals deliver plenty of crunch for the herbal, leafy hops to play off of in this balanced and elegantly bitter Pilsener.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam surrounds the hazy yellow.
-This is able-bodied, much more so than its Nils Oscar compatriot for example, and presents more malt flavors than the average pils as well.
-The leafy, spicy hop bitterness nicely lingers.
-Carbonation is comfortable throughout.

Bottle.

(Draught at Sadonkorjuu, Porvoo, on 2008-10-25) Pale golden. Clear. Medium sized quickly disappearing white head. Hop aromas in otherwise light nose. Medium bodied and dry palate with lot of carbonation. Hops, bitterness, grass, lightly malts and fruitiness in taste. Bitter and fruity aftertaste.

Clear golden color with a frothy white head. Fresh hoppy aroma with hints of citrus, tobacco, flowery perfume and grass. Crisp flavor of herbs, hops and citrus. Aftertaste is really dry and with a strong taste of grapefruitpeel.
