Commercial Description:

Tap. Pale brown body. Nice lasting white head. Heavy hoppy aroma. Almost like soap. Very dry. Very hoppy flavour. Bitter and fruity. Very dry finish. (Tre Små Rum, 13.10.09)

Draught@GFW68. Deep slightly hazy golden colour, big white head. Aroma is fruits, some parfume, mild parfumed soap as well as some yeasty notes and mild herbal notes. Flavour is big fruity at first then it turns rather dry and bitter grassy. Pleasant and quite easy to drink.

Draught at MacInnlays Inn, Stockholm. Pours out in a hazy golden colour topped with firm white head. Since this is supposed to be an APA, the aroma is quite peculiar when you find notes of spicy yeast, banana esters, rubber and grassy hops. Medium-bodied with notes of yeast, grass, pine-apples and rubber. Sharp finish of citric fruits and rubber.

On tap at gfw68, Stockholm. Golden with a large white head. Fruity fragrance that also contained plenty of soap. Soap was also in the taste. Soap dominated even though there were some yeast, fruit and hops in the background. Not that pleasant.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 16 Oct 2009) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, yeasty nose with notes of citrus peel and fresh hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with yeast, citrus, dried apricots and fresh floral hops in the finish. Rather light on the malt side, mainly dry. Fresh, hoppy and dry beer with the typical Nynäs house etyle ever present. Very nice.

On-tap. The Rover. Gothenburg. Golden colour with a white head. The typical Nynäs house style that I don´t care much for. Phenolic, spicy and yeasty up front. Bitter finish. Hops in the background.

Draught at MacKinlay’s Inn, Stockholm. Clear golden, firm rocky head. Typical Nynäshamn house aroma of resiny seville orange. Mid-dry with light but solid body. Similar to their Ålö Ale, but with less substance. The piney resiny bitterness sets in early. Tasty, but not as different from the regular Nynäs line-up as anticipated.

Cask at the Rover, Göteborg, Sweden. Clear golden, no head. Sharp hop aroma, like opening a fresh bag of hops, with strong phenolic Nynäs house character, and some tropical fruits. Light in body, no carbonation. Sharp bitterness. Not pleasant at all.
