Pours a hazy amber with a moderate linen white head that lasted through the first two sips and left spotty lace. The aroma is a bit earthy with some caramel, but without the sweetness. The flavor is again caramel but without the earthiness of the aroma and just a bit sweeter. Mild bitterness at the finish. A bit timid, but otherwise no problems. rustychiles (1053), Mesa, Arizona, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 28, 2009 12 oz bottle from Sparky27. Pour is a clear golden orange with with a one inch white head that falls pretty quick. Decent amount of lacing. Aroma of not much, maybe some light toasted maltiness, perhaps a little dustiness. Very faint nose. Taste is thin maltiness, followed by some apple sweetness. There is also a decent crystal malt profile - goodly amount of iced tea coming through. As with the nose, watery with not too much going on. Palate as mentioned is thin, watery. Lowish carbonation. Thankfully brief finish. Dull beer, thanks for sending Eric - Oak Creek does have sweet bottle caps. Ron (1018), Rochester, New York, USA

Aromas of toffee, nuts and just a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of malt, toffee and a hint of honey with a smooth bittersweet finish. Update: Surprisingly, worse on tap. Much more melded and yet mediocre hop and malt character. HighWine (164), , California, USA
