Commercial Description:
A 2001 Silver Medal Winner at the North American Brewers' Association competition. A deep-copper colored medium - bodied ale. Its fresh flavor is smooth and carefully balanced with a nice mellowness and hint of caramel malt balanced by medium hop bitterness. It is an all malt beer that is naturally carbonated. A very drinkable beer all on its own and pairs well with all kinds of foods.

Bottle from hellbilly. Pours reddish amber with a small white lace. Nose is crystal malt, sweet and fruity pebbles. Flavor is similar, not much bitterness detected. Meh.

12 oz bottle, thanks to cbkshubert. Pours copper with small but lasting beige head. The aroma is crystal malt, a little bit of fruity hop resin, and some squash. The flavor is crystal malt again, that profile that seems like iced tea. There are some planty hops in there with a touch of pine. The finish is papery and slightly bitter. Ok, not great.

12oz bottle, no date, thanks to Sparky27 for the bottle! Also, my label states 6% ABV instead of the listed 5.5%. Hazy brown orange with a one finger very quickly fading beige head down to a thin ring. Aroma is caramel malt, toasted grain, and a tinge of honey. Flavor adds just a touch of pine hops. Finish is a little earthy with bitterness peaking around a 2. Very low pinpoint carbonation with a medium body. Not too bad, but fair.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear copper, with zero head. Aroma is malt and a bit nutty. Flavor...is very bland, in fact, there is something that is just not quit right. The mouthfeel is very thin, just about watery. This is not a good beer.

Bottle courtesy of rustychiles. Pours copper with a creamy white head. Smells earthy with a hint of sweet malt. Tastes of dry malt, some spice, a touch of earthiness on the finish.

tap at the brewpub - Pours mostly clear amber and smells of caramel malt and a touch of fruit. The flavor is a good combination of caramel malt, mild hops, and those light fruit notes. It has a light to medium body and a lightly bitter finish.

12 OZ bottle poured in a glass. Hop flavors very subdued.Short head. Tasted overly sweet. Was easy to drink. I would try it again but I would not go out of my way to buy.

Poured copper from the tap with a thick head of white foam. Faint caramel and hop notes. Malty and balanced. One of the few Oak Creek beers I’d drink again.
