Commercial Description:
A 2001 Silver Medal Winner at the North American Brewers' Association competition. A deep-copper colored medium - bodied ale. Its fresh flavor is smooth and carefully balanced with a nice mellowness and hint of caramel malt balanced by medium hop bitterness. It is an all malt beer that is naturally carbonated. A very drinkable beer all on its own and pairs well with all kinds of foods.

(draft) Clear medium copper body, minimal head. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, malty. Taste is mild -- some caramel, but generally bland maltiness. No hoppiness to speak of. Palate is soft and smooth.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with cbkschubert (thanks!). Poured a medium amber color with a small sized off white head. Muted aromas of caramel and citrus. I had to breath in real deep to get those. Tastes of caramel, citrus, and a splash of roastiness. Thinner body.

Pours a clear copper orange with a thin ring of wispy white head. Aroma of sweet toasty crystal malts with a touch of earthy noble hops. Body starts slightly caramely and sweet thinning into a slightly bitter bland and watery finish with a touch of astringency. A very blah beer that could be better with just a few recipe tweaks.

12 oz bottle-pours an off white head and hazy gold/orange color. Aroma is herbal, funky fruit. Taste is funky fruit-apricot, osme herbal, light/medium malt-caramel. Not sure what the objective was but… Thanks decaturstevo for sharing.

Bottle courtesy of rustychiles. Pours copper with a creamy white head. Smells earthy with a hint of sweet malt. Tastes of dry malt, some spice, a touch of earthiness on the finish.

Nice session beer, pouring a hazy amber color with a lazy white head. The aroma is mainly caramel malt with orange and floral hops. It’s a creamy caramel drink with a flavor of orange hops and a smattering of herbal bitterness in the finish. Okay.
