It had a nice hoppy flavor with a smooth mouth feel. A definite winner considering that it was a Pale Ale. The Brewpub itself is definitely worth revisitng as well, very nice ambience. A step up from the typical industrial look that is popular with Brewpubs. KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA

Aroma of hops, lemon, grass, pine. An almost creamy mouthfeel woith flavors of caramel up front followed by some serious hops on the finish. Agree it almost tastes like an IPA. Quite good. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA

Mild hop and citrus aroma reflect the taste of this beer. Its is a hoppy pale ale more than it is a weak IPA. A good balance of malt makes this a surprisingly enjoyable beer. More than I can say for the rest of Oak Creek’s stuff. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA

All hop aroma..citrus and pine sap. Light amber with a frothy and thick white head. Mild malt body and medium hop presence makes for a citrus rind and caramel flavor palate. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2005 Pours a bright, clear copper color, it is topped by a frothy light tan head. The aroma has notes of toasted biscuits, pine, a bit of citrus. The taste is sharp with a nice bitterness up front. The taste then moves to an off dry malty note that is a mix of biscuits, and a hint of caramel. The dominant flavor is the hops, whether the sharp piney bitterness or the softer more subtle fruity citrus notes. This has a bit more bitterness that one would expect from a standard pale ale, and I like it a bit better for this reason. This is a nice solid Pale Ale, almost getting into the IPA range of things. jsquire (2123), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 16, 2005 My bottle just says "pale ale," but I am assuming its the same beer. I bought a six pack of this in Sedona at a gas station. Pretty reddish golden color and a fluffy beige head. Nose of citrus hops and wet grains. Lots of orange rind bitterness in the flavor, with a faint twange as if the orange rinds have started to turn. Maybe its a slightly sour grain taste I’m getting. It was better with food. Floral aroma, body copper color with off white head that stayed the entire beer. Lacing was good. Nice citrus hop flavor. Cool and crisp on the palate. A good refreshment. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 8, 2005 Bottle - pours clear orangey amber with a small white head that diminished to a thin ring of bubbles. Aroma is nice malty with floral notes and light citrus hops. Flavor is good with the aforementioned solid malts and balancing hops and some earthiness in the finish. Body is light to medium and carbonation moderate. Nothing too distinctive but a good pale ale.
