Jan 16, 2009 pours cloudy... almost murky an orange pekoe tea color with a soft creamy off white head.
floral banana aromas with lots of wheat followed by orange, muted earthy spiciness and coriander.
the flavor follows the aroma profile... some banana, cinnamon spice, muted coriander, dirty moist wheat and orange. the banana notes linger around.
the medium body has some substance to it... wheaty thickness. there’s not a whole lot of citrus or spice to liven it up. so, it seems a bit heavy.

Jan 9, 2009 Bottle. Pours the standard cloudy hefe yellow with a 2 finger foamy white head. Nose is banana bubble gum, spice and wheat. Taste is sweet wheat and cloves. Sweet, crisp medium mouth feel. Not really a hefe fan, but this is an ok beer.

Nov 1, 2008 tap at the brewpub - Pours cloudy gold with a thin white head. It smells of yeast and citrus. It has a sweet, citrus taste. This brew is a light bodied, typical hefeweizen that could use more spice to liven it up. Not bad.

Oct 8, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine (Tucson) - Looks like it’s bottled now. Pours a hazy golden color with a 1/4 finger thick white head that faded pretty quick. Faint spotty lacing. Aroma is basicly esters (banana) and light spice. Flavor is esters (banana), light toasted malt, and spice. Light to medium body. This beer isn’t half bad.

Aug 2, 2008 Poured a cloudy amber/orange from the tap with a faint white head. Tasted much like chewing on the ste of a wheat stalk. The best part was the wedge of lemon on the brim of the glass.

Jul 26, 2006 Mildly hazy golden pour under a thinner than expected white head. Citrus and banana aroma. Flavor of bananas, fresh baked bread, mild pepper and malt. I didn’t pick up the cloves (or confused them with the peppery taste). Silky mouthfeel with just the right amount of carbonation and a mildly sweet but crisp finish. There are much better hefes out there that are also much easier to find but this one is worth the trip simply for the Sedona scenery!

Jun 11, 2006 I’d drink another, just because I like the style. But overall, this one was pretty plain. The pour was lacking a big pillowy head. It poured with a normal two finger head that didn’t lace much. The aroma was wheaty and spicey. The flavor followed suit, as the banana aspects were near absent (cloves more dominant). The wheat flavor was like a wet wheat flavor, as this one didn’t have a dry mouthfeel to it at all. An ok beer, but nothing special.

Jul 6, 2005 Tap at Brewery: Server asked if I wanted a lemon or not. I chose not to have lemon. Had a good banana aroma. Hazy gold color with a good white foamy head. Flavor constisted mainly of banana. Foamy head gave it some creamy flavor also. Enjoyable hefe.
