Oak Creek Irish Stout

On tap and the 8th of the Eight Dwarves tasting tray. Medium brown pour supporting a ver thin tan head. Aroma of fresh coffee, bittersweet chocolate and dried fruit. The flavor is a bit bland (in relation to the aroma) but still has well-balanced helpings of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, toffee and an occasional hoppy bite. Thin texture and a fairly dry though ambiguous finish. A mediocre stout inan exquisite setting.

On tap at the Oak Creek Brewery and Grill. Pours a dark ruby red wih a thick, long lasting mocha colored head. Aroma has hints of coffee and some fresh black dirt. Solid stout flavor with some chocolate, some day old coffee and a hint of ripening fruit. Good thick lacticity to the mouthfeel. Mix between a sweet stout and a dry stout with good features of both.
