Aroma of sweet malts and roasted nut shells. Medium nectar w/ mellow residual effers creates a creamy texture. A malty brown w/ a mild roast. Flavors are mildly sweet w/ nances of leather, roasted cocoa, nut shells, and a bit-o-honey raison. The finish is bittered perfectly w/ velvety hops. IrishBoy (2728), Bakersfield, California, USA

One of the best smelling beers I’ve rated; Dark brown with cherry accents and a ring of beige bubbles around the sides of the glass; Flavor tastes more like a brown ale, smooth with caramelly malts and coffee, and a little hop finish; not as good as the Rogue, but pretty good! | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 2, 2004 Pours a brown color that has ruby highlights when held up to the light. The beer is topped by a light brown head. A nutty, malty, toasted, biscuit aroma wafts from my glass. The beer is lightly sweet, and finishes with a toasted malt flavor and a bit of hop bitterness. Quite a good example of a brown ale. Seems to have a flavor hop contribution which perks up the fruit and malt in the middle. A roasted nutty flavor lightly spices this beer. Basically this is an absolutely wonderful session beer. ricardowess (25), Sedona, Arizona, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2004 Gotta support my home town brews... This brown ale has a quick dissipating head and is a lacks some big punch, but it’s smoky nutty flavor keeps me coming back for more. Plus, it’s made down the street, so it’s easy to get in jugs for the road. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

Malt front, middle is light to medium, the carbonation moderate, nicely hopped finish, a good representative brown ale. BelgianBeerGal (1328), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Draught at Spenser’s Pub in Williams, AZ wearing pajamas...long story. I was surprised at the low ratings because I thought this was an awesome Brown. Maybe it’s because it was fresh from down the road. Both the aroma and the flavour were chocked full of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and nuts. Nice balance of malt and bitterness. Try it out if you can find it fresh in northern AZ. bbooth (115), Gilbert, Arizona, USA
