nbutler11 (218), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 2, 2008 Poured black with an amber tint from the tap. Frothy, light tan head of foam. Mild coffee in it’s aroma and flavor, but the roast is a bit too burnt for my pallette. A fair porter, but nothing special. BOLTZ7555 (528), Phoenix, Arizona, USA May 12, 2008 Beautiful brewery, decent food, average beer. This one is dark brown bordering black with a thick frothy latte head. Aroma and flavor are very subtle, almost non-existent. Burnt marshmellow and bitter chocolate barely make their presence known and the beer’s most redeeming quality is its milkshake consistency. GuilTTy (459), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA Jul 26, 2006 Yet another of the Dwarves! Clear mahogany supporting a medium tan head with some retention. Roasted malts, coffee, burnt toast and vanilla aroma. Similar flavors (minus the burnt toast) with some caramel and semisweet chocolate thrown in. Slightly watery but still flavorful and a medium length sweet finish with a mild hoppy bite at the end. A nice way to wind up a day of hiking in Sedona. Kathy (241), Washington DC, USA Mar 12, 2003 Deep, deep brown color, though not opaque (light comes through). Tiny bit of viscosity. Very, very mild, roasty aroma. Roasty mocha flavor (just a tiny hint of chocolate in there). Not a strong beer or a terribly flavorful one. Has nothing in the finish, it just ends, that's it. argo0 (6230), Washington DC, USA Feb 24, 2003 (draft) Clear mahogany, with nice tan head. Aroma is roasty, some coffee. Taste is nice coffee -- roasty and bitter, some caramel as well. Medium body.
