| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 25, 2002 I do believe this was the best beer I sampled at the 9th Annual Arizona Beer Fest.
The beer pours that deep brown to black color that I appreciate, a deep beige head and fine lace that coats the glass Note: I sampled this one several times Quiet, don’t tell the ’Beer Fest Beer Marshals’, I could get ’Banned’. The toasted malts dominated the nose but some hop floral tones, were also present, but that roasted/toasted malt stole the show. Starts malt sweet, medium to full top, creamy rich, and coffee like, and quite robust. The beer finishes with a pleasant hop bite; slightly dry, a touch acidic from the moderate carbonation. One of the better porters, I have sampled lately, reminiscent of St. Bridget’s Robust Porter from Great Divide.

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 12, 2008 Beautiful brewery, decent food, average beer. This one is dark brown bordering black with a thick frothy latte head. Aroma and flavor are very subtle, almost non-existent. Burnt marshmellow and bitter chocolate barely make their presence known and the beer’s most redeeming quality is its milkshake consistency. rustychiles (1056), Mesa, Arizona, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 27, 2009 When the Barmaid at the Brewpub said I had to go to the restaurant to try the Porter, I knew where I was having dinner the next night. It came in a tall glass looking dark and good and I was thirsty. Aroma of Coffee and chocolate. Flavor has alot of roasted coffee upfront some sweet chocolate then a bitter hop ending. This kept me drinking alot each time(to have less bitter endings) and my wife from trying more than one sip. English style porter for sure. jah noth (1020), Rochester, New York, USA
