Aromas of biscuits and slight pine finish hit your nose. Flavors are crisp nice malt and hop balance. At first, it is a little more to the malt side than the hops but the hop presence is good in the finish
The mouthfeel is light and crisp a good session brew
This brew is more of pale ale than the IPA the brewer was shooting for. I think they should step up the hops some if that is what they are shooting for. It is even mild for a British IPA standpoint .a good brew other than that and very drinkable

BigBen2120 (554), Gardiner(52 miles from Allagash), Maine, USA Jan 28, 2007 22oz bomber from Lou’s in Augusta. Amber-red body with a quarter inch of off-white head. Smell like strong citrus hops with some hints of caramel malt. Tastes like citrus and piney hops with a good malt (caramel?) backbone to support it and a surprisingly clean finish. On the lighter side of medium body. Pleasant taste combines with lighter body to make a really drinkable beer. Somewhere between an APA and IPA in all aspects (kind of reminds me of Harpoon or Sea Dog IPA). A pretty damn good beer, and at 2.29$ per bomber, it really is a steal. porterhouse (922), Alna, Maine, USA Oct 10, 2006 (22 oz. bottle from Lou’s Beverage Barn) Decent, pretty well-balanced, fairly tasty...Pours light amber with about 3 fingers of soft biscuit head. Aroma of light floral hops, bread, touch of vanilla. Mouthfeel soft, pretty smooth, maybe a tad thin. Some sloppy rings of lace. Flavor is mild bread and light sweetness with light bitterness overlaying. Finishes lightly bitter.
