Head was long lasting with good lacing. Medium bodied. Flavor is quite hoppy with some nice smokey caramel undertones. Would have liked some stronger oak flavor in it. Not sure if I could distinguish this from Arrogant Bastard in a blind taste test. Rustyham (597), miami, Florida, USA

Not worth the six-pack price, but worth the price of the bomber, if you can find it. 17.99 per sixer at whole foods mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 24, 2009 So forgot to rate this. Had this in San Diego just before New Years. Comparing this to the non oaked version. Had this one on tap. Poured is a slightly hazy dark orange red with a nice, 1 inch tan head. Aroma slightly alcoholic, lightly hopped (unfortunately doesn’t pack the punch that original has), and some fruits and oak aromas too. Flavor is oaky and alcohol with a good malt background. Palate isn’t what I hoped for but still very nice. Overall not as good as the original mainly because of the presence of alcohol and less of a hop punch.
