Very nice pour, dark brown and the aroma is very nice, malts and complex fruit. The taste was very nice, fruity and complex, but left me wanting a little bit more.

Brown opaque with small lasting head. Aroma of smoked oak, pepper, leafy hops and vegetables. Taste is very woody and plenty of hops. Damn, so much oak. Great palate, Stone-like.

A: Pours a nice hazel brown color with a 2 finger head that hangs around for a bit before fading to a perfect ring with a nice island in the middle. S: Very malty, woody, earthy with subtle hints of citrus hops and sweet brown sugar. T: I like this one a lot, and it tastes a great deal different than original AB. The oaking hides some of the hops upfront. There is a wonderful smokiness about it as it first crosses the tongue then the citrus of the hops come thru perfectly in the finish along with a hint of booze. M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. It’s creamy with a smooth mouthfeel and perfect zestyness as you swallow.

Pours a deep amber with a dense head. Aroma is slightly oaky and celery dominated by malt. Tastes like AB with oak chips added....

One of the beers I’ve been chasing and slightly disappointing. Woody finish either perfect or overpowering. Will have to have another to sort this out.

Deep red colour with a poor head, roasted malt aroma, nice hops malt and slight taste of the oak, the best beer from the USA I have had to date.

Maybe it’s the cold, but this has not impressed as other Stone brews have. Woody citrus nose that gets better with warmth. First impression is of earthy, grassy and somewhat boozy hops. Long bitter finish preceded by cask like flavours of rich malt. I enjoyed this brew despite it’s steep price.

Hazy reddish/copper with thin head. Rich malty aroma, alcoholic with hints of whiskey. Heavy hop flavor, full malt profile but the focus is the hops. Malt tempers the bitterness and the oak enhances the flavor. Full on the tongue. It’s flavorful but slightly muddled.
