Pours hazy yellow with a smallish white head. Creamy citrusy wheat malt with some light coriander on the aroma, this reminds me more of the actually Belgium variety on the aroma more than most US versions. Medium / light body with nice carbonation. Starts off with some sharp wheat with a touch of orange, there the spice and carbonation trickle in followed by a slick honey-like sweetness. This has a taste between a wit and American wheat. There is also some lemon as it warms. Crisp and refreshing beer that would be a very nice summer refresher.

Thanks to Jeff for reminding me I need to rate these bottles of Oaken Barrel, Last was the witbier which I have no idea how old it is. Poured a slight hazed pale yellow color with a fizzy head and almost no lace. The aroma is clove, coriander, lemon zest, wheat, and yeasty. The taste is subdued with a dash of citric acidity and moderate spice supported by a lame American wheat base. The mouth feel is strangely papery and mushy, not refreshing for the style. Will attempt re-rate later since I think this bottle may be too old.

Bottle. Clove and lemon aroma. Slightly cloudy light yellow color with small head. Light lemon wheat flavor - very watery. A bland but non-offensive beer - has more in common with American wheats.

Bottle. Pours a very cloudy, pale gold. Very small but lumpy head. Nice lacing in glass. Aroma is equally citrus and spice, coriander they say. Taste is exactly that, but magnified. Citrusy initial taste, spicy back taste that reduces to a mellow, pleasant aftertaste. Did not like the first bottle I had. Let it sit for a couple weeks and thought better of it on second attempt. Nice summer brew.

Draught during my Great Lakes region brew tour. Yellow pour, nearly see-through. Not all that cloudy for a wit. Nose is thin of sugar and some citrus. It’s crisp and clean, perhaps too much so. A little corn, sugar, papery notes are in the body. There also exists a faint suggestion of banana. This is a great refreshment which lacks the complexity of some other wits.

Thanks go to TPaliga for this one! Pours a somewhat clear sunny yeallow with a fizzy white head that fades to nothing. Corn, yeast, and lemon zest make up the faint aroma. The flavor is made up more of lemon and lemon zest along with some yeast. Somewhat light, carbonated, and a bit creamy over the tounge with a tart and clean finish.

Bottle. Pours a clean light gold with a thin white head with great lacing. The aroma is full of citrus fruits. The flavor is very true to the style. Not overly sweet, but with enough spice for a good flavor. A nice summer beer.

12oz bottle- Golden color w/ a small head that diminished into a white ring around the glass. An aroma of citrus, grapefruit, and lemon. A citrusy start but ends with pretty much nothing. Not impressed but I could see it being a nice summer beer.
