12 oz. bottle. Cloudy amber pour. Medium sized head that vanishes into a thin lasting film. Smells of hops, sweet malt, and a slight note of citrus. Well balanced flavor with a lasting bitterness in the finish. Enjoyable, but not one of the best for this category.

The best beer overall at Oaken B’s. The IPA just lacked balance But this was hopiness in a glass. Balance nearing perfection. An oustanding pale ale. Stronger and more hoppy than most. I am not usually a pale ale fan either.

12 oz. bottle via trade with OhioDad - Pours a clear amber color with a half finger thick off white head. Aroma is citrus hops. Flavor is semi-sweet bready malt and citrus hops. Nice balance. Light to medium body. No lingering aftertaste. Very nice beer. Thanks Scott.

This pale ale exhibits a nice balance among citrus, bitter and orange-sweet. Amber pour with an appealing off-white, frothy head. Aroma of grapefruit and orange with some grassy notes alongside caramel maltiness. The flavor starts sweet which is quickly overcome by a bitter finish. Medium body. Comfortable mouthfeel.

12oz bottle pours amber with a fair offwhite head. Aromas of slight citrus and grass over some biscuit and caramel malts. Flavor is grassy and slight orange, caramel and biscuit malts. Fairly well balanced and easy to drink. Pretty average overall..

Unfiltered hazy with a yeast, leaving a space cloud pattern, cool. Medium amber color. A small amount of pine and spice in aroma. Taste is mildly sweet with some pine.

Bottle. A fruity and very hoppy aroma (mostly grapefruit, light citrus). Orange-amber pour with very strong visible carbonation and a huuuuge rocky beige head which one can only hope to contain. Taste sweet and bitter, a little too much of the former, with a reminder of sugar. Touch of earthy chewiness, hops win out over an appreciable level of malt. Medium body, crisp bite, and a bone-dry Cascade finish. Nice, simple PA for daily consumption, bonus points for strong aroma and taste and the luscious, lacing presentation. In placing GB among its Indiana peers, I’d say ... better than a Pride and Joy but no Alpha King.
