Head diminished quickly and left almost no lacing. Extremely hazy, opaque body with a reddish tones and pink grapefruit hues. Little to no malt aroma, but lots of raspberry. Very pleasant. The taste is primarily of a not-so-sweet, carbonated raspberry juice. I keep searching for signs of wheat malt, but I’m not finding any. I appreciate the fact that the raspberry presence is fairly pronounced, but that the beer is not overly sweet. The slight tartness and bitterness certainly help combat any potential excess sweetness. The body is very light and thin with lively to aggressive carbonation. Overall the beer is pleasant enough to drink, but...where’s the beer? I found no traces of wheat malt taste or mouthfeel, which was a big disappointment. With a more pronounced wheat malt presence and lighter combination, this could have been a really nice fruit wheat. As it is, the beer seems to suffer from an identity crisis. Is this a fruity malt beverage for a hot summer day, or a wheat beer? I can’t tell. weitz15 (67), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 15, 2009 Aroma was light, lacking the raspberry flavor which is mildly present. What i enjoyed most was the extremely mild aftertaste, leaving absolutely no bitterness behind. The color is similar to that of a grapefruit, and pours with a large white head. topherh (915), Kearney, Missouri, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Dec 20, 2008 12 oz bottle. Cloudy pinkish color with a fine white head. Aroma and taste of raspberries, citrus, and most imporantly beer. The sweetness is very well balanced with a dry tartyness that makes this beer drinkable to the fruit beer dislikers like myself. Great refreshing mouthfeel, nice carb, med body, and a wet texture. Another great beer from a great brewery. rscaletta (9), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA does not count | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 26, 2008 Had this last season in a plastic cup at Victory Field. Pink with light pink head. (You can tell at a distance which women have discriminating tastes.) Smells of raspberries. Tastes of tart raspberries. Not sweet at all. Not malty. Effervescent.
My favorite raspberry beer because it’s fresh and dry and not sticky sweet. StFun (535), Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 23, 2008 One of the better fruit beers I’ve had actually. Looks like grapefruit juice, smells like grapefruit juice, and kind of tastes liek grapefruit juice as well. Bitter, with a mix of raspberries, grapefruit, and lemons. The wheat flavor isn’t as apparently as I thought it would be, which ends up being a good thing. What I really liked about this beer is that it wasn’t sticky or overly sweet. The bitter, tart, dry character was a nice change for a fruit beer. Nice! kiefdog (1602), Tampa, Florida, USA
