Commercial Description:
Brewed with fresh Oregon Raspberries, Razz has a slightly sweet flavor and clean refreshing finish to quench even the biggest thirst. Unlike syrupy impostors, Razz balances the crisp, citrus-like tones of wheat malt and the tartness of the berries-without overpowering the natural flavor of the beer.

Pale red/pink color. Delicious rasberry smell, unfortunatly that was the only thing delicious about this beer. Tasted like weak rasberry tea. I am not sure how this qualified as a beer.

Bottle: Cloudy orange color. Nothing but raspberry in the aroma. Flavor folls right along with that, not much wheat going on it this at all. Really fizzy. I’m glad I had a 3rd Coast Old Ale waiting to kill the taste of this one.

On tap at Oaken Barrel. Pale red, maybe pink hazy body and a perfect white tiny ring for a head. Aroma is startling. So much rasberry. Can’t get through for anything else. Taste is a let down from the aroma. Simply watered down rasberry. Fizzy and watery rasberry juice. Its sweet, but it goes no where and drops off immediately. Water body. Absolutely no aftertaste. Not good. Not good at all.

12oz bottle: Pours a pink champagne color with a small off-white head that laces the perimeter of the flute glass well after diminishing. Rasberry aroma is evident with hints of wheat. The rasberry flavor is initally sweet but finishes with a tangy stale taste.

12oz - Aroma of wheat and a touch of raspberry. Not very strong but a little musty. Pours a cloudy pink with no head and some lacing. Flavor is mild. The raspberry is stronger than in the aroma but there isn’t much else. Palate is thin and watery. Tastes like a watered down Rubaeus. Boring...

Bottle. Nice raspberry aroma. Dark pink color with small head. Light sweet raspberry and wheat malt flavor. A nice light fruit beer but nothing special.

On draft at the pub. Not a big fan of the fuity beers. Good raspberry aroma. Not much flavor or mouthfeel. Kind of like drinking a raspberry flavored Zima.

Had this on tap and in bottle. Big contrast. They both had a strong raspberry aroma, but the tap had such a fresh up front flavor from the fruit. The bottled version was a fresh bottle, but the raspberry flavor was a bit more muted and almost stale tasting.
