Fruity in flavor with wheat character as well. Dry for beer. I am not a fruit beer fan at all, but I think the raspberry character is pretty good, where other fruit beers taste almost of artificial flavorings.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 18, 2009 From bottle. Aroma is slightly tart raspberry. Looks, well, roughly like a darker version of pink lemonade with very little head. Not as sweet as I expected. Light raspberry with some carbonation. Very little to savor. Not the best fruit beer I’ve had but definitely not the worst. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 31, 2009 Bottle thanks to steph’s parents. Cloudy red, almost pink with white-pinkish head. Aroma is dry raspberry, some grain, well balanced. Chalky raspberry with some grain, off-dry. Medium-light with active carbonation. Okay, but raspberry is slightly strange. drowland (1417), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2009 Had at a random bar near the hotel at my brother’s wedding in Indianapolis. This was my favorite of the Oaken Barrel beers, which is weird since it’s just a random fruit beer. gws57 (1138), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 10, 2009 Found this one bottled at a liquor store in St. John, Indiana, as part of a mix 12 pack of various beers from Indiana brewers. Cloudy, light pinkish-yellow pour with a thick, foamy white head that dissipated rapidly, lots of berries and citrus fruits in the nose, the flavor is potent malty with lots of raspberry and cherry, chocolate, a sweet finish. Might be a little over the top for many tastes, and I couldn’t have many of them, but I didn’t mind this one at all. tjthresh (1778), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jul 10, 2009 Pour like pink lemonade. Lots of rasp nose and flavor. Sprite carbonation. Blah Onslow (177), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 20, 2009 Cloudy pinkish pour from a 12 oz bottle. One finger of white head that thins down quickly, leaving a nice bit of lacing. Tart fruity flavor well balanced with dry finish. The fruit flavor is very natural, organic, and low-key. It’s a hot day and this really hits the spot. Block (379), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 10, 2009 Dark pink pour with a pink-white head. Aroma is fruity with some definite raspberries coming through. Flavor is light and fruity. Raspberries and pale malts. Overall not too bad. ben4321 (1036), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Jun 7, 2009 Location: 12 oz bottle from Sahara Mart (Bloomington, IN), 6/7/09
Aroma: Strong raspberries nose, fruity and sweet
Appearance: Hazy, dark pinkish color, lots of bubbles, poured a large fizzy head that dissipated quickly
Flavor: Light raspberry flavor, not as sweet as the nose would have suggested, very little to suggest that this is a beer
Palate: Overly carbonated, drinks more like soda then a beer
Overall Impression:
Kind of like a super carbonated raspberry soda with alcohol in it. Way to much carbonation, and not much else there. Steer clear of this unless you are looking for something with tons of carbonation and little beer flavor.
