Oaken Barrel Redemption

It’s been awhile, but I think I had this on tap. I was with a lot of family for a wedding, though, and didn’t take good notes.

Thursday night growler. Pours a clear amber copper color with a thin slightly off white head that left little lacing. Classic belgian nose with fruity, bready, and malty aromas. The yeast character comes out in the taste as well with light citrus and banana notes and a sweet drying finish. Med body, lively carb, heavy wet texture, and light dry finish. The first one went down smooth, but the second wasn’t as appealing. If I’m going to the Barrel for more than one beer (which has always happened) , it’s a good starter.
