Very respectable murky peach, topped with a perfect head well woven honeycombs and plenty of effervescence. It doesn’t get much better than this for the style, at least to my liking.
Has the yeasty and bready characteristics I look forward to in a Saison, but nothing to really bring it over the top.
Starts off pretty good, interesting fullness of body and quite sparkling, and then after a few sips this really off vegetal, acrid flavor comes through and just hangs in there forever. Too bad, it had the looks to be a real home run, but something in the taste just went totally wrong. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 8, 2006 Very cloudy yellow-orange beer with a thick fluffy white head. Sweet yeasty corianderish aroma, strong bubble gum esters. A bit dank and earthy. Light black pepper and alcohol. Flavour is also fruity with some decent wheaty dryness. Apricot/peach flavour, some heavy dustiness, fairly full mouthfeel, a bit of honey. Dusty finish. smoosh (523), New Albany, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 23, 2006 Bottle - a terrific smelling beer! Big and yeasty - as a saison should be - with a coriander finish. Palish yellow body with a lively white - did I say white? - head that just will not go away. Flavor is sweet and yeasty. A touch of lemon and lime hit the sides of the tongue in the finish. I’ve not had a lot of saisons, so my point of reference is limited, but I really enjoyed this beer! | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 22, 2006 Sampled at the Milwaukee YEHa!05 courtesy of BBB63: Pours a lightly hazy golden with a dense frothy white head. Pleasant, sweet Belgian malty and floral aroma has a touch of earthy hops. Body starts lightly sweet and earthy turning more dry, lightly spiced, and yeasty toward the finish. Fairly authenic brew, but could use a little more malty balance. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
