Aroma of fresh cut hay, lemon, just a little musty, but refreshing at the same time. Flavor is tart, lemon sweet tarts, and a crisp, if not sour finish. Silphium (2152), Haslett, Michigan, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 19, 2005 Milwaukee YEHa!05, brought by BBB63. Spicy, estery, earthy aroma, with notes of lemon, flower petals, and a touch of clove. Quite hazy yellow-orange body, medium off-white head. Spicy, estery, fruity body with lemon and a hint of pineapple, in addition to bread, crackers, and white grape. On the dry and spicy side of things (i.e., more spice than fruit). The aroma was the best thing about this beer, but I enjoyed everything else too. Maybe I’m simply not the best judge of Saison merit, but I thought this was pretty good stuff. 1FastSTi (2580), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA

Clear golden body is topped by a decent, fine bubbled, white head that lasts very well and laces. Musty, wet hay and grass with herbal and spicy character joined by some citrusy lemon notes and sweet underlying ,malts with fair bitterness. and some doughy yeast character. Lots going on, but perhaps a bit muddled. Medium light body with somewhat low carbonation. Sampled at GABF 2005. Resampled with similar comments and score at my going away party before leaving Montreal. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Oct 26, 2005 This bottled brew poured a very large sized head of white colored foamy finely sized bubbles that left behind a hazy softly carbonated yellow colored body. The aroma was malty musty and had a fruity note to it. The mouth feel was tingly with a fruity Saison like feeling that mellowed in its finish. hotstuff (3180), Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 22, 2005 Bottle. Large white head that mostly diminished, fine, small & medium sized bubbles, poor lacing, hazy, carbonated, and a straw yellow hue. Malty, sweet spicy and a hint of clove in the nose. Flavor was sweet, acidic, spicy, and crisp in the finish. Tingly palate. Medium body. Rastacouere (5564), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 18, 2005 Immediately diminishing white head disappoints, so does the totally clear golden shade. Pils malt defines integrated grainy notes, but the huskiness was not necessary. Gentle lemon and herbs hoppiness could have been wilder, more fragrant. Light-medium bodied, thin and oily bodied with insufficient carbonation. It ends quick, as a rather sweet, lemonadey and gritty rendition.
