Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with a large sized white head. Aromas of spices, yeast, and citrus. Tastes of spices, citrus, doughy, and lemony. Rastacouere (5565), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 18, 2005 Immediately diminishing white head disappoints, so does the totally clear golden shade. Pils malt defines integrated grainy notes, but the huskiness was not necessary. Gentle lemon and herbs hoppiness could have been wilder, more fragrant. Light-medium bodied, thin and oily bodied with insufficient carbonation. It ends quick, as a rather sweet, lemonadey and gritty rendition. CaptainCougar (5532), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 22, 2006 Sampled at the Milwaukee YEHa!05 courtesy of BBB63: Pours a lightly hazy golden with a dense frothy white head. Pleasant, sweet Belgian malty and floral aroma has a touch of earthy hops. Body starts lightly sweet and earthy turning more dry, lightly spiced, and yeasty toward the finish. Fairly authenic brew, but could use a little more malty balance. MartinT (5075), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Sep 4, 2006 Any first impressions?
-A sumptuous head bobs atop the hazy blond.
-Doughy yeast overcomes the apparently dry, herbal hoppiness in the nose.
-Vegetal leanings disturb the leafy, minty hoppiness.
-The frothy carbonation massages the lean maltiness, creating a beautifully authentic Belgian mouthfeel.
What if you dig deeper?
-The spicy hop bitterness has potential, but is joined by astringency.
-A faint drop of cream is evoked in the aroma, probably an offshoot of the doughy yeast.
-A butter creek flows by unannounced.
-It is sad to taste as many fine components as disappointing ones; a cleaned up version of this would be great, I’m sure.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 8, 2006 Very cloudy yellow-orange beer with a thick fluffy white head. Sweet yeasty corianderish aroma, strong bubble gum esters. A bit dank and earthy. Light black pepper and alcohol. Flavour is also fruity with some decent wheaty dryness. Apricot/peach flavour, some heavy dustiness, fairly full mouthfeel, a bit of honey. Dusty finish.
