Commercial Description:
This robust ale is dark, rich, and chewy. Somewhat bitter with a big and chocolatey malt flavor, the Snake brings the kind of flavor that drinkers of single malt Scotch or straight black coffee appreciate.

Bottled. The body was black with some ruby at the edge. A light brown and orange head on top. the aroma was sweet pancakes with some chocolate. There was also some definite malt. The taste was milk chocolate with some mocha. There was a bubblegum finish. Fairly thick body for the style. Nicely done.

Bottle thanks to Heemer77. Opaque black with small tan/beige pancake head. Aroma is a little dry but smokey, coffee, and a litt roasted malt. Sweet coffee with a little cherry, a little roast, very nice overall, a little sweet though, I can dig it though. Medium to light body with a stinging sort of carbonation. I can dig it and it actually tastes like it might have a little oak on it. But that is completely wrong anyway.

Pours a deep dark chocolate colour. Head is full and creamy. Taste is chewy, very robust brew overall. Aromas of black licorice and nugett. Taste is silky with coffee and vanilla flavors.

Growler courtesy of Degarth. Pours deep brown with thin tan head. The aroma is of coffee beans mixing with various levels of roasty malts. The taste has a mild level of smooth dark roasted malts along with a touch of drying malt astringency. The malts seem to be a mixture of burnt, chocolate and some mild levels of sweet caramelization. Fairly thin mouth feel but fine for the style really. Enjoyable product.

Bottle. Dark brown with a thin whispy cream colored head, and no lacing. Very malty aroma, rich and stout like. Flavor is chocolatey with a potent roast character. Medium bodied finishes dry.

Growler from Degarth. Deep brown body with little head. Woody, dry aroma. Flavor is lightly roasty and hoppy; a bit sour. Decent.

Growler, courtesy Degarth. Pours a dark brown, with caramel highlights. Fizzy white head, and a small ring of lacing. Big roasted coffee aromas, with caramel and distant toffee. Roasted malts in the flavor hit first, followed by caramel and vanilla. Nothing exciting, but very tasty. Smooth and easy drinking.

Growler courtesy Degarth. Pours very dark brown with a small tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, and light ash. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium thin mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness. Very good.
