awiseman01 (318), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA Aug 17, 2009 On Tap at Brewpub for State Fair Celebration. Pours murky yellow, with white head. Good banana, clove nose with flavors following. Nice balance of carbonation and some vanilla in the taste. A good hefe style. grimreeser (795), Minnesota, USA Aug 15, 2008 On tap at brewpub. A hazy golden orange with a small head. EithCubes (2140), Indiana, USA May 16, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Much spicier aroma than the Alabaster just had, dryer and slightly tarter. Looks the same, a bit thinner. Actually, tastes pretty much the same, too, with much less spice, a little dryer, a little thinner, same biscuitiness but fainter and with a touch of astringency. Aftertaste is a bit fruitier. Yes, definitely less ’Belgian’, but only slightly ’German’ - could have been water passed through dirty tap lines, for I know. shrubber85 (2833), Wallhalben, Germany Sep 4, 2006 Growler. Ripe banana, peach and clove aroma - very nice. Cloudy orange-yellow color with large head. Bubblegum, peach, lemon and wheat malt flavor with a moderate clove finish which actually gives it some bitterness. A very well made Weizen - equal or better than many of its German brethren. Tmoney99 (4656), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 28, 2006 Draft at brewpub. Cloudy orange color with a minimal fizzy white head that diminished quickly with virtually no lacing. Moderate banana and sweet citrus aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium balanced citrus flavor with a smooth sweet finish of moderate duration. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA Apr 1, 2006 Grabbed a growler of this at the brewpub before sitting down to watch the George Mason/Florida final four matchup. Nose of bubble-gum, bananas, and a faint sour pungency reminiscent of a lockeroom. Pours a sparkling hazy light straw. The tall white head is fluffy like merangue, is mostly lasting and has light lacing. The flavor is well balanced with a light acidity that is prominent at the somewhat sweet finish. The light body is watery, and between soft and lively.
