Daniel_Brown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England May 16, 2005 Hand pulled at the Dragon, Worcester (following an enjoyable, but utterly unsuccessful night down the races). Golden beer - not the most exciting thing I’ve ever glimpsed. Nice crispy hops - good citric flavour and some furry nettle leafs. Good length, lets up slightly on the finish (goes a bit wobbly). Nice as usual, from one of the country’s best and most reliable brewers. maeib (4012), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England May 16, 2005 Cask conditioned - handpump - OGs Wellingborough. A golden coloured beer with a dry, hoppy citric aroma. The taste is piney strong hops lemony hops and that typical Oakham dryness. An unusually hoppy English beer which went down nicely. RichardGretton (2682), Leicestershire, England May 7, 2005 Cask@Out of the Vaults, Leicester. Vibrant pale looking beer with very dry and calmingly fruity aroma, and a light, floral and citric flavour. At times this is the ultimate pleasure in a glass. Overall a very good beer, but you can only have so much of a good thing and the effect soon wares off. leaparsons (4001), Leicester, Leicestershire, England May 6, 2005 Cask at Out of the Vaults, Leicester. Golden with a dense white head. Aromas are spicy hops, dry biscuit and caramel malts with sulphur and green pine. Flavours are sweet grain with oily, spicy hops. Dry on the finish. Another good Oakham beer.
