Light yellow, some light gold tints, no head. Aroma of light herbs and citrus, a touch of hay and fruit. Flavor is full of lemons, soft and lightly tingly, little to no carbonation. Dries out somewhat with notes of light woodiness and dry nectarines on the finish. Medium body, tons of flavor. Really enjoyed this one. Cask at NERAX on 5/4/07 Always the perennial powerhouse, this stuff seems immune from flaws/poor conditioning. Fruity, light, drinkable and very flavorful, it’s got such a lovely malt character and vintage yeast character (hard to define, but I mean it has a noticeable character that is not a flaw, yet not just your average ester. Musty isnt the right word, nor is doughy/bready/dusty). Great, great stuff. Ungstrup (15414), Frederiksberg, Denmark

The aroma is sweet hoppy and grassy. The flavor is sweet and very nicely hoppy and fresh, but the body is thin. MrWalker (927), Stockholm, Sweden

Blossoming custard yellow, full-on hoppy nose, fuller bodied than similar brews with a good malty backwash, will certainly be seeking this out for long lazy summer sessions this year. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 28, 2004 a regular cask beer at the old moot hall in nottingham, affactionately nick named ’ta ta father’ by the regualrs. i can understand why this beer is so popular, with excellent hops and a full body which makes it a more rounded experience compared with the similar (although excellent) JHB. very hoppy and citrussy with quite a bitter finish, and a good half dozen will ensure a slightly delayed walk home
