Cask at the Ealing beer fest. Aroma very hoppy, typical of oakham bittering citrus hop. Taste is full on, peppery, citrus, very hoppy porter indeed.

Cask (Ealing BF2008) (sip)
Black, small creamy head. Apple aroma. Peppery and well-balanced fruity body. Spicy finish. However, that doesn’t describe a porter - I guess this one was dodgy. Must rerate.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Ealing Beer Festival.
Black and opaque with a thin white head. Superb chocolate malt aroma full of coffee, very roasty with an excellent hint of hops in the background. More of the same in the flavour plus plenty of tar and liquorice that is maybe just a little over the top but a superb lick of hops in the finishes washes it away nicely. Another belter from Oakham.

Gravity cask at Ealing beer festival. Very dark brown with healthy beige head. Good sweet and hoppy aroma. Excellent flavour with juicy roast malt and comlex oily hop bitterness. Very good indeed.

Cask handpull at Cambridge BF 08. Very dark brown with lasting beige head. Some smokey malt on aroma. Bit of rum almost. Roasted malts, bit of molasses, not much hop. Lovely liquorice and tar. Bit of whisky/rum. Lovely.
