Commercial Description:
Cask; Seasonal - Winter.
Cold Turkey is our brewers tribute to a 19th century style of beer, deep red in colour with robust malt flavours and blackcurrant hop notes, mixed with hints of port, producing a very complex flavour

Cask condioned, maybe it was at the GBBF or somewhere else in London. This beer is very dominated by syrup and very sweet. Finish is sticky and slightly filthy.

Cask conditioned and on Handpump at the Derby CAMRA winter beer festival on 09/02/05. Deep ruby brown colour. Malty, roasted flavours. Strong taste of the alcohol. Quite thick on the palate. Not very drinlable.

Cask (handpull) at Derby Winter Beer Festival 2005. Ruddy brown, sweet fruitiness from the aroma follows through in a full dusky flavour, a sense of maltiness in the background, decent winter beer.

Cask@The white horse, Parsons Green, London. Another good effort from Oakham. Nose is hoppy and warming. A fair amount of alcohol comes through, but i think it lends to the flavour and makes it last a bit longer. Slightly darker malt type flavours, but the hops tend to stand out for me. Orangey and spicy, a nice beer.

Cask conditioned - handpump - White Horse - Parsons Green London SW6. A hoppy fruit aroma to this dark beer. The taste is bitter hops and has some good fruits. Last beer of the fest and not a bad one to end on.
