Oakham’s is pretty much my favourite brewery in the country, so I was really looking forward to this. Which is why I was surprised that I gave it a lowish score. Even trying it the next day, I wasn’t won over. Hazy pale gold colour with bubbly beige head. Very nettley and ascetic hoppy blond beer. It’s got a bit of harshly citric nettle flavour which I wasn’t too keen on. Bit soapy too. Must be just about my lowest scored Oakham beer I think. MesandSim (5863), London, Greater London, England

Big grassy and aromatic, almost oily hoppage are the story of the day. A great combination of sharp US and some UK hops with big fruity citric notes. Typically lovely Oakham mouthfeel. Bloody bloody good. Magicdave6 (5531), London, Greater London, England

Aroma is fruity, citrus and tropical fruit, hints of peppery alc notes, but nicely drinkable. Taste is similar, hoppy balanced fruity character and orange based cirtus finish. leaparsons (4748), Leicester, Leicestershire, England

Aromas are floral with grapefruit and hay. Some biscuit. Flavours are caramel malts with bitter grapefruit. Spicy and hoppy with loads of citrus. A stronger JHB, which is a good thing. maeib (4737), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

A golden coloured beer with an off-white head. The aroma is hoppy but there is a little caramel mixed in. The taste has hops and toffee. Although there is the typical Oakham hoppiness there is also some sweetness which is unusual. It’s till pretty tasty though.
