Cask Stillage at the Howcroft Inn, Bolton 12/10/2001 Dark coloured stout with some woody aroma. Slightly bitter finish.

Cask Conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Dark brown beer with tan head. Roasted nut aroma then a dry roasted, nutty, coffee beer with some delicate undernotes. Long dry finish.

Sampled cask conditioned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, Sweden.
Very dark brown. Nutral aroma. Stunningly dry and roasty with notes of sea salt and coffee and loads of coffee. Fragile maltiness that still manages to carry the beer. Clean finish, some oak, then vanilla then bitterness. Plain, tasty and confusing, all at once.
