Commercial Description:
Glen’s Hop Vice is our tribute to the late Eugene Brewer Glen Falconer. This Imperial IPA is a lesson in simplicity, using just one type of malted barley (Simpson Golden Promise), one hop variety (Amarillo) and one yeast strain (English Ale). The three ingredients come together with pure McKenzie water to produce a very complex ale. It has a strong aroma of citrusy grapefruit and a balanced bitterness against the firm malt body and the higher than normal alcohol.

Tulip on tap at Belmont Station - OK seriously, how much better does it get than drinking a regional fresh DIPA while shopping for beer? Aroma of golden malts with a big pine resin and citrus hop finish. Flavor is simply balanced and big. Hops, malt and yeast all working together to form a very tasty and balanced brew.

Just had this on tap at Belmont Station in Portland, OR. Colour... cloudy, dark orange with a frothy off white head. Nose... sweetly hoppy and citrusy. Palate... nice carbonation, lots o’ hops with a nice balance between citrusy and piney, sweet and coating with a long bitingly sweet finish!

On-Tap @ Bailey’s Taproom poured into Shaker glass. Pours a slightly hazy orange in color that has a slightly glowing aurora to it. The head is creamy and very slightly off-white and never fully dissolves leaving a nice layer atop the glass. Aroma is resinous pine and citrus hops that almost has a slight spiciness to it. The flavor is much of the same. Much more of the spicy hop bitterness and ends with a nice sweet finish. Its medium bodied and certainly chewy. This beer coats your mouth with hops. If your looking for a hop fix this is the beer you’d want. Tasty stuff even if it is a bit one dimensional.
