CapFlu (3242), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Mar 9, 2008 (Bottle) Purchased at Spinnakers Wine Merchant for $2.95. Pours a large, quick dissipating, white head atop a pale gold body. Nose of watery grains. Flavour is thin, grassy with a mild lemon finish. Poor.
phishpond417 (1110), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 8, 2008 This beer poured golden with a somewhat unpleasent aroma, not sure if it was a bad bottle or not, but it reall turned me off. IT was wierd and overly skunked, not a whole lot of excitement going on, but i finished it off. liinis (340), Finland Apr 24, 2008 0.5l can in the streets of Kiev, bought from a street kiosk with 70 eur cents. nice surprise for a bulk looking beer. white large head. tasty sweet but a bit watery. johndoughty (1554), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England Apr 20, 2008 Strong aroma upon opening the bottle. Quite bitter and left no aftertaste. Not bad and probably better than I expected.. tgncc (198), Bellmore, New York, USA Apr 19, 2008 This beer was a surprise to me. Especially considering how it got ripped to shreds on this site. I generally don’t like pale lagers. This one actually wasn’t bad. It had the strange quality on being better when it wasn’t as cold. When cold, it’s not much different than a standard pale lager, like Bud. When a little warmer, the aroma has this strange malty and corn sweetness to it. The flavor also benefitted the same way. I believe the sweetness was the corn sugar. The beer become substantially cloudier when warmer as well. I’m not sure why this is true, but I have to say I liked the beer more than I expected.
