Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 23, 2004 A red beer with a fine dense beige. The aroma is of cowberries and malt. The flavor is sweet of berries especially cowberries and it has a rather hop and dry end. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Jan 4, 2002 Dark red coloured. Velvetty soft malt, low bitterness. Papsoe (10510), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 22, 2005 Updated: Jun 13, 2005(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful almost caramel-like coloured with a neat, light-brown head. Sweetisk but no way cloying, with both caramel and toffee on the palate and a discreet underlying bitterness. Actually a very nice beer. (My label reads 5,3% ABV) 080904 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 29, 2007 Bottle, Viti Very dark burgundy colour. Light toffee and smoked plum aroma. Thin body. Big macro grainy toasty and rather sweet character. The molasses notes work nicely, the corn syrup notes not so much. Hints of demerara on and off. Finishes quickly, and with no shortage of wateriness amidst random brown sugar notes. yespr (6944), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 20, 2007 50 cL bottle (Obolon deep velvet). Pours deep amber to brown, visible, and with a lacing light brown head. Mild roasted malt aroma. Mildly sweet and with a roasted malt flavour, slight marzipan flavoured. Ends with a mild bitterness and a woody note.
