Jine (868), Nutley, New Jersey, USA Oct 12, 2008 bottle Pretty much a mistake purchase. Took a chance on a Ukraine brew. Not so hot. Oh well. dmac (887), Toms River, New Jersey, USA Sep 7, 2008 500 ml bottle from a dive store up in the Brunswicks. Well I bought this for a Ukrainian rating but sadly I had one already so here’s to about two bucks wasted for a pale lager rating to drag down my overall average (yeah I do still care about that a bit). Pours an okay looking clear gold with an average size puffy white pillowy head. I imagine this aroma is the same as if a truck carrying skunks hit a truck carrying lots of cans of Campbells soup, sulfur, vegtables, corn, rice and metal notes. Watery body with slight carbonation and an oddly creamy mouthfeel upon swallowing. Flavor is watered down with notes of sulfur and bad vegtables. Sorry this isn’t meh...it’s BLAH!!!!!! Angeloregon (2002), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 24, 2008 500ml bottle purchase at Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon--Poured a drab straw body with a soft small cream head. Gnarley undesirable metallic corn nose. Sweet, mildly biscuity and vegetal whiffs. Assertive, carbonic initial mouthfeel that rounds into a creamy nutty finish. Not a bad session lager, but quite dull and uninspired overall. BeerBiker (1209), Odense, Denmark Aug 5, 2008 Bottle from Ivan. This is true poisoned Ukrainian water. International lagerstyle, but maybe it has been too long time in a window in a Kiev downtown shop. Unholy_Brewing (312), Melbourne, Australia Jul 31, 2008 ...bottle. Well, yellow with light body, and a watery, ricey flavor. Slight bitterness from the hop notes, but otherwise, not really worth it. Goes down rather well, with a lively highly carbonated mouthfeel. I didn’t find any citrus notes as mentioned in some other ratings, which would have been a plus.
